This is the story of Dr. Robert Masson and his experience not just as a Neurosurgeon who uses prodisc^® for his patients, but as a prodisc recipient who went through the journey of being a patient himself.

In the story, the Orlando-based doctor speaks of his lifelong passion for high-performance activities—including wakeboarding and motorsports racing. But after a trampoline accident resulted in a herniated cervical disc, his ability to live an active lifestyle was severely curtailed. Once he began to feel numbness in his hand, affecting his confidence as a Neurosurgeon, he knew that it was time to become a patient himself. 

In May 2013, Dr. Masson underwent a total disc replacement procedure with prodisc C and felt immediate pain relief following the procedure—returning to his daily activities and performing surgeries a mere 1 week after his own surgery. Since then, he has not only climbed Mt.
